Ezekiel 47:12 "And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine."

Nicknames: mouse-ear hawkweed;[3]

Classification: perennial;

Plant Family: Asteraceae;[3] Genus: Pilosella;[3] Species:P. officinarum;[3]

I had never heard of Hawkweed(Hieracium pilosella) before finding it in a shop called ************( wont mention for legal concerns ), digging for new items to cover.. so I wanted to get to the bottom of it. I try to keep up with what everyone is selling in the ethnobotanical industry and like to know what's going on. I think of myself as sort of a modern day ethnobotanical reporter slash whistle blower and intel provider. I like to keep up with all of the changes in the industry, and what is hot, as well as try to provide some great ideas for entrepaneurs out there. Here goes!

Ethnobotany: Occult Warning: Hawkweed was used in magic. The word "magic" implies it has occult use(in witchcraft). There's a satanic lie associated with this herb that it has the ability to protect from evil spells cast by witches, but this is not true. The lie itself IS the witchcraft, and will only make you vulnerable to their spells and attacks. By believing this social charm, you divert your faith away from the true God and onto alternative sources, thus opening a door for satan. It says on Wikipedia that it was used in folk medicine as a Cannabis substitute but the sources on that are sketch... One is a neocities site, which anyone can make in 3 seconds, and the other is a random website.. Given the clues, I think it was being laced with jwh-018(synthetic cannabinoids) somewhere at some point perhaps and being sold, in some part of the world. This reminds me of Wild Dagga, another reported "Cannabis substitute"...(it doesn't actually get you high it's a lie..) It's a very bizarre story.. but I can assure you Hawkweed won't protect you from evil, and believing that it will, will only invite evil into your life and home.

Natural Habitat: Europe and Asia;[3]

OG Observations: The ethnobotanical industry was struck by the socialist, aka organized crime cults. Certain ethnobotanical items sold like HBWR seeds attrack illegal drug cartels to barel legal business owners supply. It is very bizaare to watch an entire industry disappear and be replaced over a ten year period. I was there in the middle of the fight. We all had our credit card processing taken away, most were robbed, one even wrongfully arrested, only to be replaced by bad actors, some of which are selling stolen stock and getting rich off of it. Warning to women eveywhere... Be ware of alladin butt-holes who pretend to be a prince that they aren't.

Phytochemicals & Pharmacology: Hawkweed produces and contains umbelliferone, which is a compound similar to coumarin.[1] It also produces triterpenoids, like taraxasterol, as well as 4,4-dimethyl phytosterols alpha- and beta-amyrin, taraxerol, and fern-7en-3beta-ol.[2]
