Ecclesiastes 3:1 "There is a time and a purpose for everything under the heavens."

Nicknames/Slang Names: I love slang names for drugs btw. Common ones for Opium include: "Sacred Anchor Of Life", "Milk Of Paradise", "The Hand Of God", and "Destroyer of Grief"

Bizarre Facts: Even though Opium is far safer than pharmaceutical opioids, and most other drugs on this planet, police and DEA still enforce the laws against it. These laws are there merely to protect the drug lords profits behind serpent medical.(modern pharma industry) In February 9, 1909, the first law that prohibits the importation and use of opium went into effect.[2] The only safe opioids, are God-made ones. America needs to do a better job at standing up to its government.

Ethnobotany: Opium has been used medicinally, recreationally, and spiritually[9] I haven't been focusing on the religious teachings for these ethnobotanicals as much, because I used to be into the occult but I got out, and don't want to lead anyone astray. I will only touch base on those religious teachings in terms of warning others. I do want people to know though that there's more to "supplements" than just being used for health remedies. A lot of cultures have prized plants for religious purposes, and used them to enhance their occult practices. Opium was commonly used in ancient times to feel better(as an anti-depressant), and to cope with emotional pain and suffering.[9] and I agree with that. In ancient days, that was your anti-depressant, You'd smoke a bowl of opium. No doctor needed. Believe me it worked. Opium is way better than diabolical anti-depressants crafted by serpent medical. A renaissance doctor named Paracelsus believed and swore that the Opium Poppy was the sorce for immortality.[9] The Chinese use poppy caps to treat diarrhea, headaches, and asthma.[9] In this context, it would mix well with an herb called Mullein. Ancient Chinese practitioners used the unripe caps as an anti-tussive and sedative.[9] The very first documentation of the Opium Poppy appears in Sumerian text dated around the year 3,400-4,000 BC[10]

OG Observations: It seems to be right under everyones noses that the most widely policed opioids on the planet can be grown from seeds readily available across the US. Opium poppy seeds that germinate are sold across the US. It's important to take laws into consideration, and remember there are viable seeds(ones that germinate), and ones that won't germinate(are sold for culinary purposes and are NOT VIABLE) Have a look at what people on Quora are saying about this subject: Is it illegal to grow opium poppyes just to look at?

Classification: Annual; Psychoactive; Of Pharmaceutical industrial interest;

Plant Family: Papaveraceae;[1] Genus: Papaver;[1] Species: somniferum;[1]

Natural Habitat: East of the Mediterranean Sea[1] Persia, Egypt, and Mesopotamia[?]

Legality: The viable seeds are legal(and sold on Ebay), but it can be argued whether or not the Poppy itself is legal to grow. One thing is certain, it is NOT LEGAL to harvest opium from your Poppy plants. While you can legally buy Opium Poppy seeds across the US, that doesn't guarantee you won't get arrested for cultivation. We live in times of favortism and oppression, and whether or not you're often the victim of discrimination will matter in terms of legality. This is how legality works in America today, sadly. One thing is certain, you can easily get Poppy seeds in the US that grow and will produce opium. How this is legal is beyond me but don't complain. People go to great lengths to buy illegal opioids on the street, not realizing how easy it is to buy viable opium poppy seeds.

Mixes well with: Anything that can be used as an oneirogen(for dreams), or for sleep(insomnia), mixes well with Poppy seeds, in terms of medicine preparation. I make a dream blend using Poppy seeds, mullein, myrrh, calea zacatechichi, ginkgo biloba, cilantro, passion flower, and lemon balm. The Poppy seeds contain traces of opioids which are oneirogenic, and has B-vitamin value, and also contains traces of melatonin, which is good for sleep and dreams... The mullein helps with digestion and easing the stomach.. The Myrrh is an oneirogen as well as the Calea z, and the Ginkgo helps to remember the dreams... Cilantro helps rid the body of heavy metals, and decalcifying the pineal gland, and passion flower gives it a mild MAOI boost... The lemon balms as a nootropic(good for the brain). Understanding phytochemicals and their pharmacological properties really helps one preparing medicines, and understanding synergy and combinations.

The ancient art of making medicine out of plants is something I've been interested in most of my life. I wish the Jewish and Christian community would ditch their serpent pharma's and get back on Gods seed bearing herbs. I feel the occult has stolen herbalism away from Gods people and keep the truth about medicine secret.

Phytochemicals:

Thebaine;[4] Opium contains: alkaloids, morphine, codein, heroin, [x] noscapine, papaverine[9] The seeds contain: fatty acids, tocochromanol and phytosterol contents, as well as antioxidants, and more.[4] They also contain MELATONIN![5] A fun point that I want to make about medicine, is that most of the best medicine on the planet is being deprived from the people. For example, noscapine in the Poppies counteracts coughing, and papervine produced by the Poppies increases blood flow.[9] These are chemical-components that can be isolated out of the plant into isolate form, and administred as medicine. Drug companies don't provide them to the people though. The occult strives to hoard these gems for theirself. An isolate for reiteration, is a substance made by a plant(phytochemical), that's been isolated from all of the rest of the plant material and other chemical components. It's just one of hundreds of chemicals, separated all by itself.

All of these are documented on academic databases like PubChem and Google Scholar. I link to them at the bottom of every page. [ Note this is not all of them that exist within the plant, and I never claim to cover every one of them. I try to get as many as possible listed though. ]

What is Phytochemistry? What are Phytochemicals?

Phytochemistry is the study of the pharmacological phytochemicals that plants create.[6] Herbal remedies have been studied for ages, and we know vast amounts of knowledge related to how they work, and which active chemical components give them their medicinal value.[6][7] Some quick examples of commonly known phytochemicals include: CBD, THC, Caffeine, Cocaine, Morphine, Heroine, Melatonin, etc. They can be narcotics, psychedelics, or just non-psychoactive medicine. Most phytochemicals are non-psychoactive.

What is Pharmacognosy? According to Wikipedia: "Pharmacognosy is the study of crude drugs obtained from medicinal plants, animals, fungi, and other natural sources." A more broad definition can be found via the American Society of Pharmacognosy, who defines pharmacognosy as "the study of the physical, chemical, biochemical, and biological properties of drugs, drug substances, or potential drugs or drug substances of natural origin as well as the search for new drugs from natural sources" It's very similar to phytochemistry, so much so that it is hard to tell the two apart. According to Wikipedia: "Phytochemistry is the study of phytochemicals, which are chemicals derived from plants." To clarify, I want to point out what one scholarly source states about the differences: "Research in pharmacognosy includes phytochemistry, microbial chemistry, biosynthesis, biotransformations, chemotaxonomy and other biological and chemical sciences"[3] .

Random fact: I heard on a documentary that it's been said in ancient China, that anyone who smoked more than 3 bowls of Opium a day, was considered an addict.

Pharmacological / Medicinal Properties:
First let me start by calling out the commonly believed socialist lie that Opium isn't healthy. Being an opium addict isn't healthy, but the plant itself can be used as medicine, and has much more to offer than pharmaceutical versions, and is much safer as well. Opium poppy has the following pharmacological properties: anti-bacterial properties[4] One of my scholarly sources for writing this blog states: "Experimental studies and clinical trials have provided evidence that extracts of opium poppy are used in the treatment of several diseases"[8] This may be surprising to some, because a lot of folks who don't know better believe that herbal remedies are bogus lore, and that illegal plants are "bad", and "dangerous". The truth is, the science shows a lot of benefits to Opium(when used responsibly), and not so much for pharmaceutical versions of the drug... Synthetic drugs are always more dangerous than plant-based drugs. The source goes on to state: "Several experimental and clinical studies have reported its beneficial role as a vasodilator, anti-bacterial, antipyretic, antinociceptive, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancerous, and anti-anemic agent."[8] It's my observation that this drug makes a great anti-depressant as well;
