What is Phenethylamine? According to an academic source: "Phenethylamine is an endogenous stimulant of the human brain that amplifies the activity of major neurotransmitters for increased longevity, slower aging, higher performance, a sense of wellbeing, and a renewed youthful-functioning body."[12] Phenethylamine is NOT A RESEARCH CHEMICAL. Phenethylamine is a naturally recurring compound produced both endogenously as a neuroactive trace amine found throughout the central nervous system in humans, and produced by different foods, and plants(ethnobotanicals) as well, like Cacao for example(Chocolate).[6][7] "Chocolate also contains phenethylamine, a chemical related to amphetamines."[7] Some people see that last statement and become alarmed.. The nature of Phenethylamine VS. Phenethylamines is very confusing, because it is a stand alone chemical, and it is also a class of drugs. Phenethylamines are a broad category of psychoactive and stimulant substances including amphetamines, MDMA, psychedelics like Mescaline(a psychedelic found in Cactus, and even Dopamine itself is a Phenethylamine!."[9][10][11] Dopamine goes by the scientific name of: 3,4-dihydroxyphenethylamine, which as a number of other synonyms(as listed on PubChem).[11] Mescaline goes by the scientific name of: 3,4,5-Trimethoxyphenethylamine.[11] So basically what this means is, anytime you have a chemical that's a phenethylamine, and it isn't dopamine(that is, the chemical structure is similar enough to that of dopamine without it actually being dopamine), then that chemical can be expected to produce stimulant/psychedelic effects. In the 2000's, scientist and drug companies started working on their slithery agenda to manufacture and sell artificial(fake) versions of God-made drugs like Mescaline(a type of phenethylamine). The Difference Between Phenethylamine(a single natural substance), and PhenethylamineS(the class of drugs): I want to make sure everyone understands that there is a difference between the natural substance Phenethylamine, and then there's the class of drugs known as Phenethylamines[x]. Dopamine is a phenethylamine, as is Mescaline, Amphetamines, Ephedrine, and fake pharmaceutical rip off's of these drugs as well, like research chemical phenethylamines such as: the 2c series of research chemicals, and fake knock off research chemical methamphetamines(more research chemicals)[see neurosoup.com archive]. I state this again for reiteration and for the sake of thorough education.
Warnings/Precautions: I advise against buying Phenethylamine supplements, because it exist in tons of foods and botanicals so there's no real need to take it in a pure supplement form. You can get it from Chocolate and plenty of other foods. Phenethylamines in large enough dosages can trigger Migraines: "Phenylethylamine readily crosses the blood-brain barrier and thus could be a mediator of the cerebrovascular disturbances seen in migraine attacks."[8]

It's a pre-requisit to phytochemistry, as the two fields of study are closely related to one another and co-dependent.

O.G. Observations: Often times supplement companies(pharmaceutical companies) will offer the public pure chemicals such as Phenethylamine with promising claims of health supperiority. The fact of the matter is however, that phenethylamine is a widely available phytochemical produced by many foods. There's no need to supplement it at all. Vitamins and supplements are not picked off of tree's. If God wanted you to use these chemicals in this purified form like this, he would have made tree's grow phenethylamine pills on them. Hypothetical: I'm not a chemist, so I don't know the workings of chemistry(how chemicals react with one another, etc), but I know what a precursor is, and I know that chemist alter substances such as these precursors into other substances.. For example: How MDA(naturally occuring plant derived) is turned into MDMA, and How Ephedrine(naturally occuring plant derived) is turned into Methamphetamines. With this in mind, It seems self evident that a skilled chemist could isolate phenethylamine from any common source, such as cacao, and alter it into any number of psychoactive/psychedelic substances, like those of the "2c series" of research chemicals that are mass produced by pharma research labs across the globe.
