Comparing Ancient Cross Cultural Beliefs Surrounding Cannabis

The History Of Cross Cultural Cannabis Beliefs And Practices

1 Timothy 4:3-5 "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats(foods/herbs), which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer."
Remember, "God gave man every seed bearing herb, that they shall be for meat!" Meat in this context means "for human consumption", and it is in reference to herbs. "meats" in 1 Timothy 4 means the same thing, and is in reference to plants such as Cannabis being prohibited by the serpent. Another example is in Ezekiel 47:12 where food is referred to as "meats", thus proving my interpretation once again.Ezekiel 47:12 "And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine."
Introduction: "Ancient civilizations like the Egyptians, Greeks, and Chinese recognized the therapeutic potential of Cannabis and other medicinal plants."[1] "Cannabis played a huge role in the early period of a number of well-known religious traditions, including Hinduism, Taoism, Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, and others."[36] The Christianity part is surprising, however a book that I cite goes on to state that: "The discovery near Jerusalem of Cannabis in the abdominal cavity of the skeletal remains of a young woman who apparently died in childbirth during the fourth century B.C. has led to speculation on the use of the drug in the ancient Middle East."[36] I'm interested in learning/exposing what different cultures believed about Cannabis. I'm here to provide intel, and we live in America, so don't get your panties all in a wad. I challenge anyone to find any documented history about any culture viewing Cannabis in a negative light prior to the socialist smear campaign against it and our creator that took place in the early 1930's. It's just one of many examples of the socialist using divide and conquer strategies on this country, and herding the church into serving them. The 1930's was the first time in recorded history that anyone waged a war against natural medicine in the United States, that I'm aware of. To this day, we still have brainwashed Christians and Jews running around proclaiming that Marijuana is "bad", while serving the idol on the U.N. emblem, the W.H.O. emblem, the five pointed star, and the serpent on the side of the ambulance instead of the real God, who told us that we may eat of any tree in the garden, except for the deadly one in the midst thereof. Instead of researching history, or fact checking lies spread by socialist in the early 1900's, they just assume that what's popular currently is what's correct. I don't think a whole lot of people are interested in facts, as they just robotically live out their daily lives, lacking any desire to learn anything, being happy with their own selfish pleasure and ambitions. I'm here to bring real facts, and points to the mainstream. One thing I want to stress the most is that Marijuana is versatile, as are all drugs, and one should not condemn it because of a certain cultures views, beliefs, or applications in using it. There is nothing righteous about the prohibition of Cannabis, or any Christian "authority" that goes along with it. Thou shalt not steal, and thou shalt not kill. God gave man every seed bearing herb that they shall be for meat(consumption). Keep your hands off other peoples property and mind your own business, socialist.
Occult Tyrants And Slave Owners Favored Prohibition Throughout History: I found a very interesting statement on the National Library Of Medicine's website that clues us in to why certain medicinal plants are illegal. "Drugs that are illegal have long been a part of Egyptian society."[2] Ancient Egypt was heavily into the occult, drug use and manufacturing, and had slaves.[3][4][5][6][7][8][9] These drugs were illegal for the slaves, and not the Egyptian slave owners. In the same way that the modern freemasons, neo nazi's and satanic temple are running around stealing drugs while pretending to be cops, FBI, and DEA, and then using them to fund illegal prostitution operations. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/government-report-dea-agents-had-sex-parties-with-prostitutes/ The modern freemasons are the guardians of ancient Egyptian occult knowledge(and other cultures), and thus their knowledge and obsession with drugs and medicines, coupled with their supremacist nature, is why plants like Marijuana, Khat, Kratom, Mushrooms like Psilocybin, and other natural drugs/medicines are banned.[10][11][12][13][14][15] They're not illegal because they're "bad", but because the serpent doesn't want anyone outside of their occult gangs to have real God-made medicine, and rather want it all to theirselves.
The socialist are all occult groups like the masons, nazi's, and satanic temple.[10][11][12][13][14][15] Their biggest weapons are gaslighting, and graven images. America was founded in 1776.[28] The socialist started undoing America in the 1900's. The FBI, DEA, CIA, NSA, ATF, and FDA all came into being DURING the 1900's, and I cite sources on that throughout the rest of this paragraph. The FDA didn't go by the current title of "FDA" until 1930, however the FDA's modern regulatory functions began in the early 1900's in 1906, when the "Pure Food and Drugs Act", a law a quarter-century in the making that prohibited interstate commerce in adulterated and misbranded food and drugs, was passed.[16] The FBI was founded in July 26, 1908.[17] The DEA was founded in July 1973.[18] The CIA was founded in 1947.[19] The NSA was founded in October 24, 1952.[20] The ATF was founded in July 1, 1972, when it officially became an independent bureau.[21] I just want to illustrate these points, because up until the 1930's, when Cannabis was first banned in the United States.[26][27], no one had any ill feelings towards the drug, and it was an intregal part of American culture.[22] I challenge anyone to find in the library or an academic database anywhere in history where any culture has made any negative claims towards it what-so-ever, because prior to the socialist attack on Cannabis and America in the early 1930's, no one frowned upon Cannabis use. In the early 1900's you could buy it over the counter, and there were Jazz clubs where you could go in and smoke joints while enjoying the music.[23][24][25][26]
Cultural Nicknames For Cannabis By Different Cultures: Bhang(Indian), Chanvre(French), Canvas(Dutch), Hanf(Germany), Cannabis(Greek), Sanna(Sanskrit), Bhanga(Persian), and Kanas(Keltic);[29]
Cultural Beliefs Surrounding Cannabis Use:
"In Ancient Romania, archaeological evidence was uncovovered from around 3500 BCE, where tripod ceramic bowls were utilized in order to burn Cannabis flowers in a cave."[29] This sounds like a method of consumption, as they were clearly burning it as a sacred incense. Inhalation of any air in a cave that's filled with Cannabis smoke will certainly lead to a high, so it's not like they didn't know what they were doing. Plus, it was 3500 BCE, so they probably didn't have any rolling papers back then. You had to be creative. The bible mentions the burning of "sacred incense" as well in 2 Chronicles 2:4, where it discusses burning offerings to Jesus on the sabbaths and new moons. Revelation 8:4 "And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand." Jeremiah 33:3 "Because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn incense, and to serve other gods, whom they knew not, neither they, ye, nor your fathers." It's not just Christian and Jewish traditions that consider incense as offerings to their God, but pagans too share these beliefs, as Wiccans specifically believe that burning of certain incense can summon spirits, or be burned as an offering to their gods.[31] According to the Witchipedia: "Incense is any herb or combination of herbs that are burned to fill the air with smoke. Incense is often used during ritual to "set the mood" and to create sacred space. It may be used as an offering."[31]
Famous alchemist such as Zosimos, Avicenna, Geber, Paracelsus, Cardano, and Rabelais were big on Cannabis as well.[32] These alchemist(plant alchemist) were into making drugs and potions from plants, even isolates(freebased substances).[33] "The idea that drugs played a role in the great religions of antiquity as they do in tribal societies in Africa and South America is still abhorrent to many scholars today."[32] Drugs play a huge role in all religions, for even the bible begins in the Ethnobotanical Garden Of Eden, and immediately following creation, the first story in the bible starts with Eve eating a mysterious peiece of fruit off of a tree in the garden. In ancient days, the only drugs that existed were plants(like Marijuana), or isolates/potions that were made FROM plants. Ethnobotanicals such as Cannabis are versatile drugs, which can be used in an insane number of ways, including as weapons, medicine, narcotics, as occult tools, or as a sacrament(like the Rastafarians).[32] What you're seeing with the new wave of legal "hemp" products, is more like modern plant alchemy. These are not wholesome hemp products, they're alchemy, synthetic versions of thc made from cbd that was isolated from hemp, chemically(free-based). Don't be tricked by this play at the word "derived", which is a synonym for saying "synthesized from."
Cannabis Use In Rastafarianism: I'm not opposed to Cannabis use combined with the bible and being a Christian. They'll get mad at me for saying that, but we live in America and no one here is obligated to conform to any specific way of believing, because we have freedom of religion which means freedom of religious belief and practice. Anyway, I digress. "Rastafarianism is a religious and cultural movement with its origin in the 1930s Jamaica which holds significance for Black individuals, emphasizing affirmation of African identity."[35] The Rastafarian church lives on today. "Additionally, a central aspect of the religion is the use of herbal remedies (predominantly marijuana) as a sacrament and a tool for healing, spiritual awakening and purification, consciousness raising, and worship."[35] I'm in agreement with this statement, as I feel the same way, although it should not be viewed as an idol, and the gratitude and thanks and worship should go to the creator, not the plant. I use Cannabis medically, but can for sure testify that when I use it I feel much more in the mood to worship, or engage in listening to worship music, etc. It for sure has a way of raising the consciousness like the Rasta's believe as well. I believe that consciousness is sort of like a level of awarenesss, and Cannabis for sure elevates that. It's sad that in modern America, there are authorities out there that are so brainwashed by the socialist, that they feel like they should have the right to prevent me from speaking what I want online, and The SRCSO, Pensacola FBI, and DEA did just that, for almost 9 months!
Ancient Chinese Beliefs About Cannabis: Ancient text written by the Ancient Chinese Emporer known as Shen Nung, mentions Cannabis as a treatment of forgetfulness(yes you read that right), believe it or not.[36] I find other cultures beliefs very fascinating, and even love to compare them to the bible, and speculate on what the creators true purpose for them was, in opposition to the enemies. I do believe certain things that other cultures believed as well, as seeing is believing. I have my own unqiue beliefs. Anyway, Shen Nung goes on in his text to state that, "If taken over a long term, it makes one communicate with spirits, and lightens one's body."[36] I always find other cultural beliefs very fascinating, and often times agreeable, and even useful. I bet the Rasta's feel this way too, as the God of the bible is described as a spirit in St John 4:24. Sense Shen Nung thought that it "makes one communicate with spirits", and God is a spirit, then perhaps this is why the Rastafarians cherish it so much as a sacrament for worship. I always thought that it enhanced your sixth sense, and this is what Wiccans believe too, and apparently many other cultures as well.[x] A lot of these beliefs are cross-cultural, believe it or not. Other ancient Chinese writers mentioned that it was a "liberator of sin"[36], and I resonate with this belief. O.G. Observations: In my experience with Cannabis, it won't stir up feelings of guilt in a sociopath, but if you're normal like me(in my experience), it seems to amplify Gods voice when you're guilty, and brings that guilt to the forefront of your mind, forcing you to deal with it. I feel like, in my experience, that it sort of forces you to repent, as a sort of "divine department of corrections". "More ritualistic uses of Cannabis as a psychotropic drug appeared in Asia Minor among the ancient Scythians."[36]
Cannabis Use In Pagan Traditions, like Wicca(Witchcraft): If you're a Christian or Jew, don't get all bent out of shape. I'm here exposing how the enemy operates. Just because the occult uses almost every drug and or plant on the planet in some occultish way, doesn't make them "bad". Drugs are versatile, and can be used in insane numbers of ways. Having said all of that, let's move on and discuss what Witches believe about Cannabis, and other psychoactive plants. "The Oracle of Delphi was far from the only ancient magic practitioner to utilize marijuana in her craft".[37] The Vice news report goes on to state that: " There is evidence cannabis was traditionally burned to induce the Oracle’s trance state"[37] I've always noticed throughout my entire time of using Cannabis that it for sure stimulates your sixth sense, and I always viewed it as "holy" and "sacred", so I can see where other cultures are coming from. I'm glad that I no longer view it as an idol, and have learned to thank the creator for it and give him my worship, rather than the plant itself. O.G. Observations: Most traditions share some sort of similarity that can be found hidden beneath the surface if you dig. I enjoy comparing and learning about different cultures, especially when I discover beliefs that they share, and similarities. People believed these things for a reason.
Cannabis prohibition was harmful to society: Back in the day, "Between 1850 and 1937 marijuana was widely used throughout United States as a medicinal drug and could easily be purchased in pharmacies and general stores."[34] Both Cannabis and Opium were legal back then, and available over the counter.[34] According to a CDC blog that was removed from their website upon me linking to it from my old website: "Every day in the United States, 44 people die as a result of prescription opioid overdose."[29] This was from the CDC's website in 2015. I link to it directly via the Internet Archives Anyway, if 44 people a day die from opioids(and this was in 2015), that would mean that 44*365(1 year)=16,060 deaths! That's just from perscription opioids too, and this was BEFORE the invention of Fentanyl. "Among those who died from prescription opioid overdose between 1999 and 2013: Most were ages 25 to 54. This age group had the highest overdose rates compared to other age groups. However, the overdose rate for adults aged 55–64 increased more than seven-fold during this same time period."[29]
The CDC goes on to state that: "Drug overdose was the leading cause of injury death in 2013. Among people 25 to 64 years old, drug overdose caused more deaths than motor vehicle traffic crashes. There were 43,982 drug overdose deaths in the United States in 2013. Of these, 22,767 (51.8%) were related to prescription drugs. Of the 22,767 deaths relating to prescription drug overdose in 2013, 16,235 (71.3%) involved opioid painkillers, and 6,973 (30.6%) involved benzodiazepines. People who died of drug overdoses often had a combination of benzodiazepines and opioid painkillers in their bodies. Drug misuse and abuse caused about 2.5 million emergency department (ED) visits in 2011. Of these, more than 1.4 million ED visits were related to prescription drugs. Among those ED visits, 501,207 visits were related to anti-anxiety and insomnia medications, and 420,040 visits were related to opioid analgesics. Benzodiazepines are frequently found among people treated in EDs for misusing or abusing drugs. Nearly two million Americans, aged 12 or older, either abused or were dependent on opioid painkillers in 2013."[29] Keep in mind that this is just for opioid deaths, not the other pharmaceuticals that are killing people daily. Cannabis was prohibited by supremacist cheaters in occult gangs(freemasons, nazi's, and satanic temple). It was prohibited beacuse the big pharmaceutical industry had plans for it, and are seeking to actively take over America using it. 911 wasn't invented until March 1, 1968.[30] Feel free to fact check that. 99% of human history had no 911 service. 911 is new, and it is of the serpent. Cannabis is good, and pharmaceuticals and vaccines are bad, as well as synthetic thc being passed off as "hemp".
